Ingredients
- 3 pounds (1.36kg) Tempeh
- 3/4 cup Reduced-sodium tamari
- 1/2 cup Pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup Grapeseed oil
- 1/4 cup Smoked paprika
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350˚F (177˚C).
- Slice the tempeh into long, thin strips.
- In a large bowl, toss together all tempeh bacon ingredients and evenly arrange on a baking sheet.
- Cover tempeh with any remaining liquid from bowl. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until all liquid has evaporated and tempeh is firm. Let cool.
- Thinly slice to create “bacon” slivers or leave as strips. Use for sandwiches or to top your favourite salad or soup.
